Program's Aims

 

  • Get an introduction to SPSS software.

  • Get a quick introduction to Biostatistics and the most essential terms.

  • Get introduction to research question and study design.

  • Learn where to start and how to make a statistical blueprint.

  • Get a crush hand-on training on the most frequent bio-statistical tests.

 

*This program is considered to be a program for the beginners only in statistics. It is not recommended to trainees who had a previous experience in SPSS.

Units/ Contents

 

Part I: Theoretical Section:

  • Introduction to SPSS

  • Studies that use biostatistics

  • Data types

  • How to make a biostatistical blueprint

  • The most essential biostatistical terms

 

Part II: Practical Section:

  • Get used to SPSS

  • Data entry & Cleaning (from a survey)

  • Descriptive Data (from existed data set)

  • Basic Statistical Test (from existed data set)

    • Chi-Square

    • T-test

    • ANOVA test

Program's Details
  • 1 Day

  • 5 hours

  • 1 breaks for 40 minutes 

 

*Notes:

  • This program needs the participants to install SPSS software (Trail Version) within their devices before attending the program.

  • This program does not provide the SPSS software to the trainees.

Approaches
  • Lecturing.

  • Workshops to conduct individual exercises using their computer using the SPSS software.

  • Learning by feedback (direct, and indirect).

 

* Self-assessment by following the trainer, and feedback from the trainer.

  • Students (seniors mainly): medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, medical science, applied medical science, public health.

  • Professionals: medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, medical science, applied medical science, public health.

 

*To attend this program you have to be competeant to use English language, and to be at least seinor student in the medical feild.
